I think that this site will be extremely helpful to my project. It is a major site that reviews video games of all types (consoles), movies, TV shows, DVDs, comics, “gear”, and even cars. But the main focus of this site is video games and they are pretty well-known for that. I have seen some reviews and have played the games they reviewed and although they may be harsh sometimes the reviews are true and genuine. This site will be a valuable asset to my project because I will be able to reference other opinions that can support my own or give me more to talk about.

I thought that this would be a nessesary artical that I should read because it was the start of my whole topic. I think that no matter what specific topic on video games that I choose at the end, I feel that I will have to run across this type of artical eventually. It is the first of the topic and I think that no matter what topic I choose, I will have to find the first of it.

I was watching Philip DeFranco’s Video blog and I ran across this story.

B) Reflection- This story caught my attention because my father is in the fashion industry and I just overall dislike what is going on at times to girls in the industry. No one is ever skinny enough or pretty enough for anything. But when they lose a lot of weight, a lot of them are also criticized about being way to skinny for normal people to be. This topic is and has been a problem for a long time and I have felt the same since the first time I heard about it and saw it.

C) Projection- The only question I have about this is when did this start and who said it was the standard for models to be as skinny as a stick?

B&C) Reflection & Projection- I have actually been looking forward to this for over a year. Modern Warfare 2 is the sequel to the first Modern Warfare. These two titles are video games that come from a long series called Call of Duty (COD). I thought that it would be nice to talk about something less serious then my last blog. I love video games since I was a young child and I continue to fiend over games like this. I noticed that a lot of male to male and even male to female connections are through video games when the whole online era came about. Even before online gaming, kids would go to school and talk about it and make friends through gaming. I know that I will always love video games and I will share it with the next generation to come. The only question I have is that will video games ever reach their peak in terms of graphics and sound? Seems like it cant get any better!

B&C) Reflection & Projection- This article was about how the U.S. Envoy Protests Violence in Guinea, it was published one October 6, 2009. Recently, there have been a lot of problems in Guinea, Africa. The people who have been involved besides the men, women and government military of Guinea, Africa are some politicians that we know in the United States of America like Obama Administration and Hilary Rodham Clinton. No one is really sure why the problems in this Guinea, Africa are going on to this extent because of how in humane they are but all we know is that it has to stop. “The military seized power here last December, and pressure has been rising as Captain Camara, 45, backed off a pledge not to run in this country’s presidential elections in January. At a demonstration against him on Sept. 28, witnesses said soldiers open fire on the crowds and raped and sexually assaulted female protesters. Human rights officials estimate that as many as 157 people were killed. The government has put the number at 56.” As we can see from this segment of the article, it gives a brief description on what types of things that are going on in the country of Guinea, Africa. Peoples rights are clearly being violated when they are being shot randomly or at all and when women are being sexually violated and raped. No human deserves this kind of treatment because it is not fair and everything that is happening to these protesters are being forced on them. The government is taking their human rights when they don’t let them protest and don’t give them the freedom of speech. ““In America’s view, Moussa Dadis Camara can’t be president, and we are going to hold him to that,” Mr. Fitzgerald said… “I did say that he was becoming a pariah among world leaders, and that he had to think long and hard about possibly running for president, because the international community would not accept him as a leader,” Mr. Fitzgerald said.” I agree with Mr. Fitzgerald, I feel that most of this problem is due to the corrupt and evil highest authority figure in the country. I wouldn’t even call him president because of how he is treating his people and his country. This whole situation is wrong at so many levels and there is no excuse for anyone to go through this kind of injustice and violence.

I actully ran into this video while looking for another video on youtube and it was just one of the featured videos so I thought I would watch it.

B) Reflection- This video caught my eyes because I have recently come into a lot of pimples and I always freak out as many others do. I feel that this video was very helpful and informative and I feel that there are many people that would love to hear about her tips on how to and assist the process of getting rid of a pimple although I as a male wouldn’t use all her tips because some involve make up.

C) Projection- I don’t really have any unanswered questions or anything I am unclear of because as I said, this video was very helpful and informative.

B&C) Reflection & Projection- One of the classes I am taking in Senior year is Human Rights and I thought that this was a very debatable topic. At first it was just another assignment I had to do for class but I realized that I really do care about this topic all over the world. I think that this topic is very important to me and is very important to everyone in the United States of America and the students of our school because of one main reason. I think that there are a lot of people that have a very strong opinion on this topic of abortion, while others have mixed feelings about this. I feel that the idea of abortions is very cruel and is like taking a life without even giving it a choice. But there is another part of me that feels for the women that are victims of rape but I have not feelings and don’t think that the people that are irresponsible should be eligible of an abortion. I feel that this is a very delicate situation and I that is the main reason that I chose to read and write about this topic. I have many mixed feelings about abortions as I am sure people do too as well as strong feelings towards one way or another. I think that I will just stay away from having to make this decision and hope that our government makes the right decisions and respects our human rights.
